“Love isn’t about being in the same place, but about choosing each other, every single day.”
Aditya and Rubina first met in 2019 at the University of Plymouth. Aditya, a third-year exchange Computer Science student from India, was only in the UK for six months, while Rubina had just started her first year at university. Their paths crossed at a Bollywood dance class… but they completely ignored each other.
It wasn’t until a party at a friend’s house that Aditya (very bravely) introduced himself. From that night on, their friendship groups merged, and they quickly became part of each other’s everyday lives.
Somewhere between seaside sunsets, late-night movies, endless laughs, and homemade aloo paranthe at Aditya’s place, something changed. Then, on Rubina’s 20th birthday, he finally confessed his feelings, and that was the beginning of everything.
Six years of long distance later, they’ve learned that love isn’t about being in the same place, but about choosing each other, every single day. Now, after more than seven years together, we can’t wait to celebrate the start of our next chapter with you.
